Corner Kids Performing Arts

All kids have opportunities through drama, music, dance and other expressive arts to explore personal development, friendship, leadership and faith.

This group doesn’t highlight individuals’ talents, but instead focuses on working together as a collective to create fun and interactive performances. When mistakes are made the group must improvise to support each other and keep the intended meaning of the story on track. This is a great life skill to learn.

Kids can be involved in skits/events throughout the year and a full Musical Christmas Production, including performances at local primary schools.

When: Tuesdays 3.45pm – 5.30pm (during school term)

Bring: A piece of fruit to share

Cost: $8 per session OR $70 per term (payable by week 3).
Sponsorship may be available for low income families.

Age: 7 + years

Behaviour code is outlined during first session.
All leaders have Uniting Church Police Clearances.

For more information, please contact Carolyn on 0439 871 465 or performingarts@thecorner.org.au

Community Club @ The Corner

When: 7.30pm for 7.45pm start Tuesday (second of the month)

The Community Club @ The Corner was formerly known as the Greenfield Road Community Club (a sponsored outreach of the Seacombe Uniting Church).

The club was founded in 1996, when some Seacombe members realised, prayerfully, that a mixed social group was needed at the church. This dedicated group worked hard in developing a concept, which would include the wider community in the area, while still observing principles through example. The Club is thankful for their vision, because we have continued to enjoy the meetings, each other’s company and our innovative suppers. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.

Right from the outset, we have been registered with the Marion Council as a meeting place for people looking to mix with others in their area. It has always been the aim that the committee deals with the day-to-day business, BUT are always very open to suggestions — which do thankfully keep coming. If a donation to a cause is appropriate, we give as generously as we can, from our meeting by meeting gold coin donations.

Meetings are open to ourselves, friends and neighbours without obligation to attend regularly.

All men welcome.

Prayer & Praise

When: 5.30pm various Sundays

An invitation to transformation.

We would like to invite you to join us for an hour of prayer and praise once a month on Sunday at 5:30pm. This will be held in the chapel adjoining the auditorium.

We believe that God is worthy of our praise and will be in our midst as we wait in discernment on our call as God’s people. Together we will bring the needs of our church, community, nation, and the world forward in prayer.

If you would like to be a part of this group, we would be thrilled to see you.

There is something very special about praying with – and for – each other.

Come and be part of the transforming power of prayer!

If you have any questions about this time, please see Shobha, or Julie.

If you have any special prayer requests, you may call, or message, Julie on 0412 830 344.
