Morning Craft & Friendship Group

Morning Craft & Friendship Group has returned under COVID Safe restrictions. Due to limited numbers please contact the office 8350 5400 prior to attending for the first time.

When: 9.30am Wednesday (during the school term)
Cost: $3.00 per session + equipment

We follow a program each term where a variety of crafts are presented. Each member has the choice of following the program, bringing their own craft, or playing cards or scrabble. We like to have suggestions for craft activities from our members and encourage them to share their skills with the group.

Crafts offered include card making, crochet, knitting, patchwork, beading, and toy making.

Jan Jones and Anna Kring lead the group.

Water Colour Painting Classes

Water Colour Class has returned under COVID Safe restrictions on Thursdays.
Due to limited numbers please contact the office 8350 5400 prior to attending for the first time.

When: Thursday (during school terms)
Time: 12.45pm – 2.45pm

Each year an Art Display of students’ work is hung creating a real sense of achievement and pride. Several pieces have been sold at each exhibition and the community also enjoys viewing their work.

Art Exhibitions

We are a well promoted and presented venue with some exhibitions having official openings by well-known members of the community. Usually we have a commitment to a charity or worthy cause i.e. Domestic Violence against Women.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Community Club @ The Corner

When: 7.30pm for 7.45pm start Tuesdays (second of the month)

The Community Club @ The Corner was formerly known as the Greenfield Road Community Club (a sponsored outreach of the Seacombe Uniting Church) has been in existence since 1996.

It is a mixed social group open to the wider community where we enjoy each other’s company, a variety of activities, including speakers and meals. The meetings are very informal, a committee deals with day-to-day business BUT is always very open to suggestions — which do thankfully keep coming. If a donation to a cause is appropriate, we give as generously as we can from subscriptions which are either $20 per person annual membership or gold coin donation per monthly meeting.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month commencing in February and ending in November each year.

Meetings are open to ourselves, friends and neighbours without obligation to attend regularly.
