Art Warm Up
To have fun and help you get used to creating something.
Step 1: Draw a small circle on your page
Step 2: Draw another circle around it
Step 3: Keep drawing circles until you have 5 circles
Step 4: On a different part of the page draw another small circle
Step 5: Draw 4 circles around.
Step 6: Continue this pattern across the page.
Faith Talk – Chosen. Just As You Are.
Our theme tonight is based on Week 4 of our ‘Lent Tracks’ series.
How many of us feel unsure, unseen or unqualified when we might be chosen for something new? We may assume we need to change ourselves to be ready for such a role. Often we are chosen because someone else sees something special in us, even if we don’t see it in ourselves.
As we journey through Lent we hear the stories of God choosing the unexpected to lead. Jesus himself was an unexpected leader to many. But God sees beyond our human criteria and sees who we truly are. God chose and God continues to choose unexpected people to show the world God’s love.
This Lent remind yourself that you are CHOSEN. JUST AS YOU ARE.

Art Activity – Magazine Art
To help us continue to think about how God choose ordinary people to do extraordinary things we are creating art out of something ordinary.
Tonight we are using old magazine to create art.
There are several different types of art you can choose from.
Magazine Collages
Cut or rips shapes from a magazine.
Stick them to a piece of paper in a particular pattern or design.
tip: it can be helpful to draw out your pattern on your paper before sticking your shapes down.
Triangle Collage
Cut triangles from the magazines.
Place them on a piece of paper in an interesting shape and use glue to stick them down.
tip: don’t glue down the triangle straight away so you can rearrange them until you are happy with the design.
Magazine Cut Outs
Choose an image from a magazine and cut it out.
Stick it on a piece of paper.
Decorate around it.
other options: you could decorate your paper them stick your image on top. Or you could decorate straight on the magazine.
tip: make sure you use the right paper for your art materials.
Magazine Origami
Use the magazine to fold an origami design.
Search the internet for easy designs.
tip: make sure you paper is the right shapes before folding

- Why might we be hesitant to accept that God chooses us?
- How does it make you feel to think that God chooses you, just as you are, for something special?
- What are some things you think God might be choosing you for? What are the unique or special things about you that God might use?
- How can you help others know that God chooses them?
